If you’ve visited the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios, you may know that a tasty glass of pumpkin juice is one of the beverages available around the park. You may NOT have tried the pumpkin fizz though, as it doesn’t seem to be advertised quite as much. It ended up being one of my favorite things to get to drink, not to mention it’s cheaper than butter beer.
I’m here today with a version you can make at home to either enjoy as it is or with a hefty splash of bourbon, if you’re in the mood! Not only would this be great to serve at a Harry Potter party, but also makes a perfectly refreshing fall beverage.
Wicked Quick Pumpkin Fizz
- 2 tbsp pumpkin puree
- small sprinkle pumpkin pie spice (or ground clove and cinnamon)
- 1/4 cup apple cider (spiced or plain)
- 3/4 cup ginger beer
Mix together the puree and spice together in a separate small pitcher or measuring glass.
Pour in the apple cider and mix well.
When ready to serve, pour in and lightly mix the ginger beer.
Fill a glass with ice and pour the pumpkin fizz over it.
Do not add the ginger beer until you are ready to serve or enjoy as it will go flat quickly once opened.
You may multiply this recipe for a larger group or party, but again, wait until serving to mix in the ginger beer. Otherwise the other part of the mixture will keep in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You will just want to stir it well as some pumpkin will settle to the bottom.
