If you’ve been keeping up with me on Instagram, you may have seen that this April I’ll be hosting a group read of The Bell Jar, by Sylvia Plath. If you’d like to get involved, it’s not too late! You can join the Goodreads group where we’ll be holding our discussions here. There’s definitely still time to pick up a copy of the book from the library or store ahead of time, as well. This is the copy I’ll be reading, but you can use whichever one you’ve got!
The Bell Jar is one of the 30 books I have planned to read before I turn 30 years old. If people enjoy this experience, we might go on to read a few more off the list together, too!
I’ve always loved being involved in a book club. There’s a little (huge) piece of me that really misses the constant discussions of literature that I had while working on my degree in college. This doesn’t necessarily need to be as academic as all that, but I think there are probably some others out there that for whatever reason would enjoy the chance to talk with other readers!
As I said, there is still plenty of time to join us for The Bell Jar! Head over to the Goodreads group I’ve created, join and introduce yourself! If you don’t have a Goodreads account yet, that’s also super easy to sign up for, and a fun way to keep track of what you’ve read. We start reading on April 1!
